Norman Court Stud is situated in the village of West Tytherley, a backwater of north Hampshire about twelve miles east of Salisbury.

Norman Court Stud provides a comprehensive range of services to our clients in the thoroughbred breeding industry including stallion services, seasonal and permanent boarding, foaling, and sales preparation.

Recent years have seen significant refurbishment to the stud, including the 29 box main yard, staff housing, horse walker, lunge ring, widened roads, two new American Barns, new Stallion Boxes and what will be a new office complex. 

The Norman Court Team pride themselves on their results and can count Albany Stakes Winner Nijoom Dubai, Ajigolo and Silver Guest among their very best.

Patrick and Tania Trant have a wealth of experience behind them, they are widely regarded and have an excellent team preparing the yearlings and foals to the highest standards, Norman Court prides itself on faultless turnout and efficiency at the sales to show the horses at their very best.

STUD MANAGER
Stewart Bevan

Started January 2010

Stuart Bevan recently joined Norman Court Stud as Stud Manager at the beginning of January 2010. Stuart has previously worked for two other major studs of international repute.

Paula Bevan

Started Febuary 2010
Joined Norman Court Stud in February 2010. Having previously worked in Ireland, Canada and the UK. Paula brings a broad range of experience in her supporting role to the stud.

STALLION MAN
Chris Lock

Another experienced horseman, Chris regularly hunted with his parents and was able to ride from a very early age. He started working at Catherston Stud at the age of 17 and worked his way up from Stud Hand to Stud Groom and stayed at Catherston for 2 years. Catherston Stud produces predominantly dressage horses and Chris was in charge of leading Dressage stallions such as Joebear, Catherston Liberator, Springsteen among many others. While working at Catherston Chris spent 3 months at West Kingston with Springsteen where he learnt about collection for frozen semen.

In July 2007 Chris moved to Norman Court Stud where he became Stallion Man. He currently looks after both of Norman Court’s stallions Imperial Dancer and Sixties Icon.

Kinsey Triffett
Started Sept 2006


Kinsey Triffett lives close by just outside Salisbury. She had held several grooming jobs before starting at NCS. She also worked for racehorse trainer Richard Hannon previously.

Robert Fishwick
Started April 2010

Robert was born in Stoke-On-Trent and was originally working for Jamie Railton Bloodstock up in Newmarket. He has many skills and plenty of experience from stud hand to stallion man to land management etc

Sara Lelean
Started April 2008


Sara Lelean lives locally in Lockerley. Went to Sparsholt College where she did a First Diploma and a ND in Horse Management. Held several part time/weekend jobs beofre starting at NCS
